Flamenco's roots in the Polígono Sur

 

If you want an adventure, you want to experience part of Sevilla’s living and you like flamenco you cannot leave whithout visiting the wellknown area “las Tres Mil”.

A simple area with lot of charm with home grown talented people like: La Tana, Juana la del Revuelo, Raimundo Amador, Carlos Heredia...etc


ITINERARY

(3 hours aprox.)

Arrival and depart at Puerta de Jerez: On the way to the “Poligono Sur” you will be able to hear the history of “las tres mil viviendas” (20 min. Aprox.)

Gipsy culture: gipsy woman from association Asociación Akherdi i Tromipen will welcome us at “Centro Cívico El Esqueleto” to show us an insight to the history and culture of the gipsy as well as their hard work within this association (25 min. Aprox.)

Flamenco: 45 minutes of flamenco show with people from the area as protagonists (singing, dancing and playing instrument).

Meal: chefs from the area will offer us a traditional gipsy menu. We will be able to spend a time with the artists and women from the association.

Schedule: mornings from 12 to 15h and afternoons from 18 to 21h (can be adapted to the group needs).

Price: 40€ per person. Includes the guide, transport, flamenco’s show, food and beverages.
